Attributes Blog

I had conducted and created a Power Point presentation about attributes valued by employers. . The presentation I had to create had to include attributes from three categories. These three categories were technical skills and knowledge, general attributes and attitudes.  The presentation I had created a clear and well presented power point presentation and discussed each and one of every one of them in precise detail. The presentation had consistent style and had enough detail discussing each and every attribute. I had received great feed back from my tutor that my presentation had great content and was very good.
But, there were some things that I didn’t do so well. I had received some feed that I had made some grammar errors in my presentation and needed to correct them.
To make amendments to my presentation, I could correct the grammar== and spelling errors for my presentation.

Communication Leaflet Blog

For this task, I created a communication leaflet understanding the principles of effective communication. I had to create a leaflet explaining two different points of each of the following three categories. I had to talk about interpersonal skills, general communication and communication in writing. I explained in a lot of detail step by step and give thorough descriptions. I had received feed back from my tutor that most of my content was good and clear.
There were some things that I didn’t do well. There were some referrals I had received about my communication leaflet. I had not made some clear points in some sections and didn’t make it understandable. I was getting confused with “one and another” which should have been “one another”. These were silly errors like grammar and spelling mistakes that I made.
To make amendments, I could correct the grammar and spelling by proofreading and make sense in what I am trying to say.

My Presentation

The presentation that I conducted about barriers of effective communication went clearly well and I have recieved some great feedback. The things that I had done well was obtaining eye contact to the audience to check that they were following what I was talking about. I remained at a certain pace so that I wasn't going too fast or too slow for the audience to loose track of what I was talking about. My presentation demostrated adequate content and was approapraite to last for six whole minutes. I wasn't too keen on relying on notes or becoming too hesitant because I had enough content on my prsentation to do so. The presentation had sufficient enough langauge and was appropraite to the subject. It was well presented and well structured and was quite consistent. I demonstrated the potential barriers and the mechanisms to reduce those barriers. Also I demostrated effective communication related to interpersonal skills.

But there were somethings that I didn't too well in. Some of my slides were a bit cluttered with quite a bit of text and I was reading from the whiteboard frequently and didn't notice the monitor that was in front of me.

To make ammendments to my presentation, I could split up my content on each slide so it would be easy for others to read. Another ammendment would be to read from the monitor in front of me so that I am not loosing contact with the audience.
